Branded merchandise collection including water bottle bag and accessories

Branded Merchandise

Branded merchandise is one of the most effective and enduring tools available to UK businesses. Unlike digital advertising that disappears the moment you stop paying for it, a well-chosen, well branded physical product keeps your logo in front of people for months or years, on desks, in bags, at events, and in everyday life.

At Style Brands, we have been supplying branded merchandise to UK businesses of all sizes for over 20 years, from small local companies ordering their first batch of branded pens to national organisations with ongoing warehoused stock requirements.

We are part of the Nemo Group, the UK’s leading B2B cooperative, giving us access to combined buying power of over £200 million annually, which means better sourcing, better pricing, and the widest product range on offer.

What Is Branded Merchandise?

Branded merchandise, sometimes called promotional products, promotional merchandise, or corporate merchandise, refers to any physical product that carries your company’s logo, name, or branding. The purpose is simple: to put your brand into the hands of the people who matter to your business, in a form they will actually use and keep.

The term covers an enormous range of products. From everyday items like branded pens and notebooks to premium corporate gifts like engraved flasks and executive pen sets, from practical event giveaways like branded tote bags and can coolers to long-term brand building tools like embossed notebooks and domed keyrings. If it can carry your logo and serve a purpose, it counts as branded merchandise.

What separates effective branded merchandise from wasted budget is the same thing that separates good marketing from bad: choosing the right product for the right audience, branded correctly, and delivered with care. That is what we do at Style Brands.

Why UK Businesses Invest in Branded Merchandise

The question is not whether branded merchandise works, the evidence for that is overwhelming and well documented across decades of promotional marketing research. The real question is why it works so consistently, even as every other marketing channel has changed beyond recognition.

The answer comes down to three things.

Physical presence: A branded product exists in the real world. It sits on a desk, travels in a bag, gets used in meetings, and is seen by people who never received it directly. Every time someone uses your branded water bottle on their commute, your logo is in a public space doing passive marketing work you are not paying for.

Longevity: A well-chosen branded product is kept and used for months, sometimes years. The cost per impression over the lifetime of a quality branded item is lower than almost any other marketing activity available to a UK business.

Perceived Value: Branded merchandise carries meaning beyond its function. A physical item signals care, intention, and investment from the brand behind it. In client relationships, employee engagement, and event marketing, this sense of value builds trust and connection in a way digital ads and emails cannot replicate.

For UK B2B businesses in particular, where relationships, trust, and long-term loyalty matter more than impulse purchases, branded merchandise is one of the most cost-effective relationship-building tools available.

We supply branded merchandise across a wide range of categories. Some of our best selling category’s have their own dedicated page with full product details, branding options, and guidance on what works best for different briefs. Click through to explore the range that fits your needs.

Branded Drinkware

One of the most popular and effective categories in branded merchandise. We supply over 2,000 branded drinkware products including sports bottles, travel mugs, ceramic mugs, vacuum flasks, tumblers, collapsible cups, can coolers, coasters, and more. Branded drinkware sits on desks and travels to meetings every single day, giving your logo consistent daily visibility. Available with print or engraving to suit different budgets and finishes.

Branded Bags

Branded bags are arguably the highest visibility product in the entire merchandise category. A bag doesn’t stay in an office, it goes out into the world, carried through shops, streets, events, and public spaces with your logo on full display. We supply over 1,600 branded bags across 13 subcategories including tote bags, drawstring bags, backpacks, conference bags, cooler bags, laptop bags, and more. We know from personal experience, a compact recycled shopper bag we took to a trade show in Kent generated more engagement than almost any other promotional product we have used.

Branded Pens

The most tried and tested product in promotional merchandise and still one of the most effective. We supply over 1,200 branded pens across 8 subcategories including ballpoint pens, executive pens, Parker pens, rollerball pens, stylus pens, fountain pens, and markers. One of our longest standing relationships is with an office supplies dealer in Essex who trusts us to fulfil every branded pen enquiry that comes through their own business, a level of confidence that speaks for itself.

Branded Notebooks

A branded notebook is one of the few promotional products that people actively want to receive and keep. We supply over 450 branded notebooks including A5 hard cover, A5 soft cover, A6 pocket, A4 executive, recycled and eco options, Moleskine notebooks, whiteboard notebooks, spiral notebooks, and gift sets. A cleaning company in Gillingham ordered 100 branded notebooks from us, and the response from their team was so strong they returned two months later for 300 more.

Branded Keyrings

A compact, cost-effective branded product with strong everyday visibility. Used daily, carried everywhere, and available in a huge range of styles. A recruitment company recently came to us for branded football keyrings as part of a World Cup 2026 campaign, proof that any business in any sector can use branded merchandise creatively when the moment is right.

How Businesses Use Branded Merchandise

Branded merchandise works across an enormous range of business contexts. Here are the most common ways UK businesses use it effectively.

Trade shows and events. Events are one of the highest impact uses for branded merchandise. A well-chosen giveaway draws people to your stand, gives them something to carry around the venue with your logo visible to everyone they pass, and travels home with them as a lasting reminder of the interaction.

Corporate gifting. Client gifts, welcome packs, and seasonal gifts are one of the most effective ways to strengthen business relationships. A quality branded product, a premium notebook, an engraved flask, a Parker pen, says more about how you value a relationship than almost any other gesture.

Staff onboarding and engagement. Branded merchandise has a powerful role inside organisations as well as externally. A well put together welcome pack for a new employee, branded bagnotebookpen, water bottle, creates an immediate sense of belonging and pride that sets the tone for the relationship.

Seasonal and campaign-based promotions. Branded merchandise tied to a specific moment, a product launch, a sporting event, a seasonal campaign, creates urgency and relevance. Our World Cup 2026 merchandise range is a current example of how businesses across every sector are using a cultural moment to get their brand in people’s hands.

Long-term brand building. For businesses that want consistent brand presence with clients and prospects, a regular merchandise programme, whether that is a quarterly gift, an annual calendar, or a standing supply of branded stationery, keeps your name visible and front of mind throughout the year.

Retail and consumer promotions. For businesses with a consumer-facing element, branded merchandise as a purchase incentive or loyalty reward is a proven sales driver.

Branding Methods Explained

Understanding how your logo is applied to a product helps you make better decisions about which products suit your brand and your budget. We use a range of branding methods depending on the product and the finish required.

Print. The most versatile branding method, used across the widest range of products. Full colour or single colour printing is applied directly to the product surface. Ideal for bold logos, detailed artwork, and products where colour accuracy is important.

Engraving. A premium, permanent method that etches your logo into the surface of the product. Popular on metal flasks, tumblers, pens, and keyrings. Gives a high-end, professional finish that will not fade or peel over time.

Embossing. Creates a raised impression of your logo in the material, most commonly used on notebooks, leather goods, and packaging. Gives a tactile, premium feel that works exceptionally well for corporate gifts.

Debossing. The opposite of embossing, your logo is pressed into the surface creating an indented impression. Popular on notebooks, soft covers, and leather products. Clean, subtle, and very professional.

Screen printing. A traditional method that applies ink through a mesh screen, ideal for large flat surfaces and high-volume orders. Delivers consistent, vibrant results across bags, apparel accessories, and flat products.

Sublimation. A process where ink is transferred into the material using heat, producing full colour, edge-to-edge prints that are permanently bonded to the product. Popular on items like can coolers, mugs, and polyester bags where a fully wrapped design is needed.

Laser engraving. Uses a laser to etch designs with precision into metal, wood, or other hard surfaces. Produces extremely fine detail and a premium finish. Popular on executive gifts, awards, and tech accessories.

Doming. A resin dome is applied over a printed label, creating a three-dimensional, glossy finish that is highly durable and visually striking. Popular on keyrings, badges, and promotional labels. One of the more distinctive finishes available and always gets noticed.

Relationships That Speak for Themselves

We believe the best evidence for how a supplier performs is not what they say about themselves, it is how long their clients keep coming back.

A large national housebuilder has been with us for over 15 years. We hold their branded stock in our warehouse and dispatch on demand, paper cups, keyrings, notebooks, pens, umbrellas, and hard hat shaped stress items among the products we supply regularly. That kind of relationship only exists when the quality, service, and reliability are consistently right.

An automotive business has been ordering branded merchandise from us since 2009, stress cars, rulers, and a wide range of products across a long-standing relationship that continues to grow.

A heavy engineering firm has been ordering from us since 2010, tumblers, bottles, and branded merchandise that reflects the professional standards their own clients expect.

A swimming pool company based in the South East has been a client since 2011. We supply their branded clothing, swimming caps, and a range of branded merchandise including bags, a relationship that has grown steadily because we take the time to understand their business rather than just fulfil orders.

A commercial print business has trusted us with their branded merchandise requirements since 2010, air fresheners, lanyards, pens, USBs, and more across a 16-year relationship that covers an enormous range of products.

A security services company has been with us since 2006, mugs, lanyards, pens, bags, stickers, watches, and more across nearly two decades of supply.

These are just a handfull of our exceptional clients. They are a representative sample of the hundreds of UK businesses that have trusted Style Brands with their branded merchandise over the years, across every sector and every size.

How It Works

Getting started with branded merchandise through Style Brands is straightforward. Here is how the process typically works.

  1. Tell us what you need. Get in touch with a brief, what you are trying to achieve, who it is for, your budget, and your timeline. If you are not sure where to start, that is fine too. We have had this conversation hundreds of times and can help you find the right direction.
  2. We advise on the right products. Based on your brief we will recommend the products that best fit your needs, audience, and budget. We will be honest about what works and what does not, we are not trying to sell you the most expensive option, we are trying to find you the right one.
  3. Artwork and proofing. Once you have chosen your products we will work with your artwork to produce a proof showing exactly how your logo will look on the product. Nothing goes to production without your approval.
  4. Production and branding. Your products are produced and branded to your specification. Lead times vary by product and quantity; we will always give you a realistic timeline upfront.
  5. Delivery. Your order is delivered to your specified address. We supply across the whole of the UK.

Who We Work With

We work with UK businesses of all sizes across every sector. Our clients include businesses in construction, hospitality, healthcare, education, professional services, retail, automotive, security, engineering, and more.

What our clients have in common is not their sector or their size, it is that they take their brand seriously and want a supplier who does too. We are not a faceless online ordering platform. We are a team of branded merchandise specialists based in Throwley, Kent, with over 20 years of experience and a genuine commitment to getting the right result for every brief.

We work particularly well with businesses that have ongoing or repeat requirements, those who want a trusted supplier relationship rather than a one-off transaction. Our warehousing and fulfilment capability means we can hold stock on your behalf and dispatch on demand, making us a practical choice for businesses with regular branded merchandise needs.

If you are a smaller business placing your first branded merchandise order, you will receive exactly the same level of advice, care, and quality as our largest clients. That has always been our approach, and it is one of the reasons our client relationships last as long as they do.

Frequent questions about branded merchandise

How do I get started?

Get in touch with a brief and we will take it from there. You do not need to have everything figured out; we are happy to advise from the very beginning.

A vector file in .PDF, .AI, .EPS, OR .CDR format gives the best results across all branding methods. If your artwork isn’t in one of these formats we can accept other files, such as .JPG, .PNG, .TIFF, .GIF, as we can redraw your design into vectored artwork for a small additional charge.

Lead times vary by product, quantity, and branding method. Standard branded merchandise typically takes 7 to 15 working days from proof approval. Some items can be turned around faster, get in touch with your deadline and we will tell you honestly what is achievable.

In many cases yes. Samples help you check the quality and feel of a product before committing to a larger quantity. Ask us about sample availability when you get in touch. Some samples may require a small charge.

This varies by product. Some items are available from very low quantities; others have a minimum built into the production process. Get in touch and we will give you a straight answer for the specific products you are interested in.

Colour matching is something we take seriously. For printed products we work to your specified Pantone references wherever possible, and we stock a wide range of products that are available in Pantone matched colours – meaning you can get an exact brand colour match rather than the closest available standard colour. For other branding methods such as engraving, embossing, and debossing the finish is determined by the product material rather than colour, so brand consistency comes from the quality of the application rather than colour matching. We will always advise on what is achievable for your specific products and show you a proof before anything goes to production.

Yes, we stock a wide range of sustainable and eco-friendly branded merchandise across all major product categories. See the eco section above or get in touch to discuss your sustainability requirements.

We offer two different stock holding options depending on your situation.

For established clients with regular, consistent orders we will sometimes agree to hold stock in our own warehouse and dispatch as and when you need it. This is not something we offer as standard, it is a arrangement we put in place with trusted clients where we have a clear understanding of their volumes and requirements. If you think this could work for your business, get in touch and we can have that conversation.

The second option is supplier-held stock, which is available on certain products. You pay a bulk price upfront to secure a quantity at a lower per-unit cost, and your items are held at the supplier and dispatched to you in smaller amounts as you need them. This is particularly useful for products you order regularly and want to keep costs down on, name badges are a good example, where having stock held means you can simply request a small run of personalised badges whenever a new staff member joins without paying single-order pricing each time. Ask us whether the products you are interested in are available on this basis.
